Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an account?
For live data, yes: you create the account at app.implisense.com for free, with no credit card and 100 Implicents of starting credit. Without an account, you can try our templates with sample data covering about 30 well-known companies.
Where do I get the API key?
After signing in at app.implisense.com, under Settings → Developer → API keys. You paste the key when ChatGPT or Claude opens the Implisense sign-in page while connecting.
What does it cost?
The plugin and the connector are free. Queries are billed in Implicents from your credit — 100 Implicents are included, usage-based after that, same as the API, with no contract.
Which assistants are supported?
ChatGPT through our plugin in the plugin store, and Claude (claude.ai and the Claude app) as a connector — a Claude plugin is in the works. In Microsoft 365 Copilot, your IT sets up Implisense as an agent in Copilot Studio. Gemini currently allows custom data sources only for personal Google accounts in the US; use the Implisense Platform in the browser there. Developers connect the MCP server in Claude Code, Cursor and any other MCP-capable client.
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI assistants access external data sources in a structured way — here, the Implisense company database. The plugin and the connector use it behind the scenes; you do not need to set any of it up.
Is this GDPR-compliant?
Yes. Implisense GmbH is a German company based in Berlin, subject to German and European data protection law. The data comes from public sources such as the commercial register and the Bundesanzeiger.
