Frequently asked questions
Is Implisense a registercheck alternative?
For sales, marketing and data quality, yes. If you need to vet business partners (KYC/KYB) and want computed beneficial owners, ownership chains and the history of deleted companies, registercheck is the better fit.
Why does registercheck quote more companies than Implisense?
Because the two count differently. According to its own API documentation, registercheck holds 5,796,418 company records (measured on 15 September 2026), of which 2,932,047 are deleted; the registers of associations (VR) and of civil-law partnerships (eGbR) are included. Implisense quotes around 2.3M active companies from HRA, HRB, PR and GnR, excluding deleted companies and associations. Counting associations, our raw data holds 2.94M active entries — so the active datasets are of comparable size. The derivation is in the glossary under “Active and inactive companies”.
Where does the data come from, and how current is it?
Both build on the German commercial register. Implisense updates daily from the register and public sources and adds contact data, industry, size class and financial key figures. According to its documentation, registercheck re-reads register entries on a cycle and explicitly leaves out anything not filed with a German court — headcounts, for example.
Can both be integrated into my own systems and AI assistants?
Yes. Both offer a REST API and an MCP server that connects to ChatGPT and Claude. registercheck also provides webhooks for register changes; Implisense adds the Platform, with Excel upload and list export, as well as managed analyses.
What does it cost to get started?
Implisense Free costs nothing and includes 100 Implicents once plus 25 per month; Plus costs €59 per month (net). registercheck gives new personal accounts 50 credits once, valid for 30 days; after that, credits are bought in advance at between 0.6 and 7 cents per credit depending on the plan (net). The two providers' credits pay for different things and are not directly comparable.
