Frequently asked questions
Is Implisense a handelsregister.ai alternative?
For sales and marketing teams that want to work with company data without in-house development, yes. If you integrate register, ownership and financial data deeply into your own software — beneficial owners, relationship graphs or complete balance sheets, for example — handelsregister.ai is a good fit.
How many companies do the two cover?
Implisense quotes around 2.3M active companies from HRA, HRB, PR and GnR — excluding deleted companies and associations. handelsregister.ai states no total in its API documentation or its llms.txt (as of 25 October 2026). For any figure, ask whether deleted companies and associations are included; the derivation of ours is in the glossary under “Active and inactive companies”.
Where does the data come from, and how current is it?
Both build on the German commercial register. Implisense updates daily from the register and public sources and adds industry, size class and contact data. According to its documentation, handelsregister.ai also offers an optional live lookup directly at the register (10 credits extra).
Can both be integrated into my own systems and AI assistants?
Yes. Both offer a REST API and an MCP server for ChatGPT and Claude. handelsregister.ai adds SDKs for Python and Node.js, an n8n integration and webhooks. Implisense adds the Platform, with Excel upload and list export, a ChatGPT plugin and managed analyses.
What does it cost to get started?
Implisense Free costs nothing and includes 100 Implicents once plus 25 per month; Plus costs €59 per month (net). handelsregister.ai gives new accounts free credits; one credit costs €0.01 base price, and the Plus, Pro and Max plans cost €69, €129 and €499 per month. Person profiles there require a plan, the network graph Pro or Max. The two providers' credits pay for different things and are not directly comparable.
