Grömitz ist eine Kleinstadt im norddeutschen Bundesland Schleswig-Holstein. Sie hat 7.236 Einwohner. Die Stadt hat eine schöne Lage am Ostufer der Lübecker Bucht mit einer reizvollen Strandpromenade. Die Grömitzer leben hauptsächlich von Landwirtschaft, Fischerei und Tourismus. Die regionale Landwirtschaft konzentriert sich auf den Anbau von Weizen, Raps und Mais. Die Fischerei ist ein sehr traditioneller Wirtschaftszweig, bei dem alte Fischereitechniken zum Einsatz kommen. Der Tourismus ist eine wichtige Einnahmequelle für die Gemeinde Grömitz. Strände und Gärten sowie eine Vielzahl historischer und archäologischer Stätten bieten ein vielfältiges touristisches Angebot.
