Salzkotten ist eine Kleinstadt in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Mit 25.062 Einwohnern gehört sie zu den kleineren Städten der Region. Salzkotten ist vor allem für seine Viehzucht, Landwirtschaft und lebensmittelverarbeitende Industrie bekannt. Es ist auch ein wichtiges Zentrum für den Tourismus in der Region.
