Kirchen (Sieg) ist eine Kleinstadt im nördlichen Rheinland-Pfalz mit 8.498 Einwohnern. Sie liegt am Rande des Rhein-Sieg-Kreises zwischen der Kölner Bucht und dem Westerwald. Die Stadt ist vor allem für ihre große Korkindustrie bekannt. Kirchen ist auch die Heimat eines großen Apfelanbaugebietes und bietet eine reiche Auswahl an lokal hergestellten Apfelprodukten. Es gibt aber auch Kalksteinbrüche, Sägewerke und Textilfabriken. Einen besonderen Schwerpunkt bildet der Maschinenbau. Die Einwohner von Kirchen haben eine große Auswahl an Freizeitmöglichkeiten wie Wandern und Radfahren und es gibt viele Parks und Wälder in der Nähe.
